High quality reproduction inspired by Mies Van Der Rohe’s design
The Brno chair is a modern style cantilevered chair designed in 1929 - 1930 for Mies’ renowned Tugendhat House in Brno, Czech Republic. Its design was based on similar chairs created in collaboration with Lilly Reich, like the 1927 MR20 model with wicker seat. The Brno chair has become a classical piece of furniture. With sleek lines, it is made of a single metal flatbar frame developing C curves that starts at side, following both sides of the seat (forming the armrests along the way), continuing to the floor, resulting in a cantilevered structure with a leather seat and back stretched between the C armrests.
