The Florence Knoll Bench, named after its American designer Florence Knoll, was designed in 1954 as a piece versatile enough to fill the "lost spaces" of our homes. The influence from her mentor, German-American architect Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe, are evident in the clean, geometric lines that are so characteristic of modern design and which give these designs a certain timeless quality.
