Details
High-quality reproduction inspired by the design of Charles and Ray Eames.
Charles and Ray Eames designed La Chaise in 1948 for the New York Museum of Modern Art in 1948, for their “International Competition for Low-Cost Furniture Design," though the design was a prototype that would never be realized in their lifetime. The name references Gaston Lachaise’s Floating Figure sculpture of a reclining woman, and was moulded as if to cradle the figure of the woman.
