It was in 1945 that the Danish architect and designer Finn Juhl revolutionized Scandinavian design with his Model 45 loveseat. Juhl was one of the first Scandinavian designers to free the seat and back from the frame, by suspending them to give the impression of floating above the frame without touching it. Although its design seems simple, its innovation was revolutionary for its time, and this loveseat continues to endure for its elegant appearance and high-quality craftsmanship.
