Artichoke Pendant Lamp

The famous Artichoke lamp by Danish architect and designer Poul Henningsen was designed in 1958 and is considered a masterpiece of modern design. It is made of 80 metal petals alternately placed on 360 degrees around the "stem" of the lamp. Its unique design allows light to filter through the petals while hiding the source of light, a trick of the eye that continues to delight today.
