High-quality reproduction of Eero Aarnio's design.
The Ball Chair was designed in 1963 by Finnish designer Eero Aarnio and first presented at the International Furniture Fair in Cologne, France, in 1966, where it caused a sensation and launched the designer's career. Essentially modern in design, this chair's simple geometric shape gave it its name, and though Aarnio never intended for his designs to be futuristic, the shape and fabrication of this chair are inspired by the "Space Age" designs of the sixties and still recall past visions of the future.
