High-quality reproduction inspired by Mies Van Der Rohe and Lilly Reich’s design.
The Barcelona Chair was designed by Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich for the German Pavilion at the International Exposition held in Barcelona, Spain in 1929. An essential modern piece from the Bauhaus era.Although Bauhaus design generally reduced furniture to its bare essentials, these chairs were created for Spanish royalty to lounge on during opening ceremonies, yet the furniture was modeled on the ancient Roman chairs that emperors used to rest.
