Womb Chair with Ottoman
Details
High-quality reproduction of Eero Saarinen’s design.
The Womb Armchair was originally designed in 1948 by Finnish-American designer Eero Saarinen. The chair was created for his friend and fellow designer, Florence Knoll, who wanted "a chair that was like a basket full of pillows - something she could really curl up in." Saarinen no doubt achieved that with this chair; with its organic materials and welcoming shape, the Womb Chair seems to create a cocoon for the body.
