Details
High-quality reproduction inspired by George Nelson’s design.
George Nelson’s Platform Bench, introduced in 1946, was part of the American designer’s first collection created for mass production with Herman Miller. Nelson was interested in form that elevated the function of an object, in creating spaces that were as beautiful as they were functional and simple. As with most of Nelson’s work, the Platform Bench features the sleek, clean lines reflecting his architectural training and the larger modernist movement towards simpler, reduced forms.
