Our Mondrian rug is modelled on the work of one of the greatest modern artists, the Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. Mondrian was known for his abstract compositions, and his restrained use of line and colour was revolutionary at the time. The artist primarily used simple grid-like lines with primary colours to express underlying universal truths that reveal themselves in abstract geometric forms.
