BRNO Rounded Bar Chair

Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in 1930 for his Tugendhat House in Brno, Czech Republic, this cantilever chair is the first of its kind. These chairs are essentially modern in design, with a single sleek line forming the arms and flowing down into legs in an elegant curve. This variant on the BRNO chair has solidly constructed round tubing to form the arms and legs with a frame that seems to float while gently supporting the sitter.
