The Barcelona Daybed was designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich for the German Pavilion at the International Exhibition in Barcelona in 1929. An essential modern piece from the Bauhaus era.
As a natural material, wood is subject to effects of the environment including temperature and humidity levels. Chairs are not made from a single solid block of wood and are assembled using dowels and glue.
