High quality reproduction inspired by Arne Jacobsen’s design
Designed for Novo Nordisk, a Danish health care company, the Fourmi chair or Ant chair, was not an immediate success because of its avant-gardist style. It’s was only after being shown at the Danish Museum of Decorative Art in 1952 that it became famous. This iconic example of Scandinavian design brought international recognition it’s designer, Arne Jacobsen.
Called Fourmi because of its characteristic organic shape with perfectly designed curves and its narrow waist and slim feet, it is the result of a winning combination between the traditional quality of the Scandinavian design and the modern aspect of its structure. The Fourmi chair offers not only comfort, but also sturdiness and durability with a minimalist and svelte shape.
